SHAKESPHEREAN LITERARY WEEK: A WALK TO CHERISH
GRADE VI:
DAY1: The literary week commenced with the colourful, informative bunting making activity for students with the theme being the various genres of English Literary and stock words which ranged through horror, adventure, fantasy, mystery, comedy, thriller to tragedy; from conflict, climax, plot, resolution, settings, characterization to to theme and symbolism.
DAY2: The enthusiasm of students advanced to a sprawling level with the Picture dictionary from English to French/ German/ Sanskrit and vice versa containing words represented through images drawn and printed.
1.1 A sneak peek into the class preparing the dictionary 1.2 Students geared up for literary parade.
DAY3: The third day of the event united the students with the Collaborative Picture story Making activity which provided the students an opportunity to cooperate and collaborate as a group nurturing their team spirit.
DAY4: The most awaited event which added cherry to the cake was the Literary Parade where students demonstrated their favourite characters ranging from Geronimo Stilton, Roald Dhal’s Matilda, J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter to Shakespeare’s Portia.Voice modulation, expression body language and intonation being the key ingredients of the activity.Usage of props and costume added charm and gaietygaeity to each of their performances which reflected the true spirit of the activity.
GRADE VII:
DAY 1:The Shakespearean Week inagurated with the vibrant spirit reflected through the Bunting Making Activity on Literary devices ranging from simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia oxymoron to antithesis, irony, paradox, hyperbole imagery and its five types.The varying shapes of buntings added cherry on the cake through incorporation of variety which is the spice of life.

DAY 2:The students showcased their aesthetic spirit through the Calligram creation activity on the theme “Music” wherein students explored and expanded their unexplored prolific artist hidden within.
DAY 3: The students delivered their best through the Picture Dictionary creation activity on a vast plethora of idioms which clarified the students the meanings of various idioms and their usage in day to day life.
DAY 4: Literary Parade activity conducted imbibing the authors and characters from literary world was a grand success.
DAY 4: Students enjoyed being in the shoes of their favourite characters and creating an aura which was enigmatic for some but added a feather to the cap of other activities.
GRADE VIII:
DAY1: Your talent determines what you can do; Your motivation determines how much your are willing to do and your attitude determines how well you do it. Our talented lot of desptites depicted their outstanding skills through Bunting creation activity on the theme “Literary Giants” where in they portrayed Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Jane Austen to Ernest Hemingway, Leo Tolstoy artistically with their famous creations.
1.5 Glimpses of selfie points with students preparing them
DAY 2: The students enthusiastically participated and presented their multilingual dictionary converting the words from other foreign languages like French, German, sanskrit to English and vice versa which empowered their vocabulary leading to gaining knowledge about words from different languages.
DAY 3: They also prepared selfie points and comic strips which were the group activities they enjoyed with other students in the group coordination, improvising communication and mastering the skill of team work.
DAY 4:Students energetically presented their favourite characters portraying their costume, dialogue delivery, body language and gestures.
